Protium Dynamics was founded under the name LZ Energia in Maringá-PR with the goal of developing hydrogen technologies focused on the energy transition and was incubated at the Maringatech Technology Park.

Protium Dynamics was founded under the name LZ Energia in Maringá-PR with the goal of developing hydrogen technologies focused on the energy transition and was incubated at the Maringatech Technology Park.
2021
Still as LZ Energia, the company had its first green patent granted, conducted field technical validations for the technology in the road transport sector, conceived the EcoTorque product, and began designing the development expansion plan for application in other sectors such as naval, O&G, and industrial.
2023
The company began the development of technologies for large diesel engine applications in partnership with Ocyan S.A and Shell Brazil and underwent a rebranding, officially adopting the name Protium Dynamics, while maintaining its vision of expanding hydrogen technology applications to other sectors. It was recognized by Shell's Safety Leadership Awards for its decarbonization project for the O&G sector.
2024
In 2024, Protium Dynamics began its expansion into the industrial sector, acting as a supplier of components, systems, and small to medium-sized plants for hydrogen production and application. It represented Brazil at international events such as Ceraweek Innovation Agora, Offshore Technology Conference, and received various recognitions and awards, including being named one of the top 10 Energytechs in Brazil, one of the 100 startups to watch by PeGn, and the Plínio Cantanhede Decarbonization Award at the RoG-e event.

In the beginning, LZ Energia (Protium Dynamics' first name) focused on the development of on-board electrolyzers for use in the road sector and relied on various subsidy and support mechanisms for the development of new products.
Between 2019 and 2021, LZ Energia began to take shape as a company, had its first green patent granted, completed several field tests validating the technology for the road sector, designed the EcoTorque product and began to design the development expansion plan for application in other sectors, such as naval, O&G, rail and industrial.

In 2022, the company began developing the product for application in large diesel engines in partnership with Ocyan S.A. and supported by Shell, maintaining the vision of expanding the application of Hydrogen to other sectors. In 2023, the brand underwent a rebranding, making the name Protium Dynamics official, established several commercial and development partnerships with technology institutions and began projects for the application of hydrogen in the industrial sector.
In 2024, Protium began structuring the company to meet industry demands. It now also provides components, isolated systems, complete hydrogen production plants and specialized engineering services.
